Puppy!

Can't believe this was just three months ago.  She is now 46lbs!! and officially has been given the clear that everything looks great from being spayed.

Wow.  We are finally getting somewhere.  I am thrilled.  Actually, had a few guests over and Shakti did not jump up. She walked up, super excited, shaking her body, waging her tail but did not attempt to bowl them over.  It is exciting to know that consistency really does pay off
We have decided to continue with her education.  As I keep telling her you can't just rely on your good looks in life.  You have got to have brains and heart too.  So far we are working on walking with the leash and this specific technique really does seem to be working.  Yes, have a bit more work to do, but we've had moments where she has walked right next to me, leash loose, pacing with me.  This is a huge step forward.
Playing Goldilocks one night.  She could not decide where to sleep
Sorry Shakti, you know that this not an option.  Off the couch baby girl
Seriously, this does not look comfortable.  Guessing the floor felt nice and cool
She has a pretty active social life.  Actually think she may have more friends than me.   Here she is with her cousin Biscuit.  A French Bulldog.  He is a bit possessive with the food, and she is crazy jumping up and down, pouncing on him and being a bit of puppy f*#$ker.
Yet, they seem to enjoy being around each other.  I know she does.  She just wants to be friends with everyone-canine, human, even the neighbors cat.
Enjoying a family outing playing in the woods.

Shakti is now on Instagram (shaktipuppy) for anyone that is interested.

Another Shakti Post

It's been awhile since the last post and Shakti is exploring, growing, and meeting new friends.  She even went on a puppy vacation earlier this summer and got some great photos.  As of her last vet appointment she was 5 1/2 months old and 41.8lbs! Goodness.

Here she is playing keep away from one of her friends.  Yes, she is quick and yes, we are working on the drop it and leave it commands cause there is no way I am catching her.
So happy to see her having fun while I was away.  Behave yourself Baby Girl!
Happy someone was able to get a good photo of her sitting still.  Not the easiest thing to do.
Doing some exploring. Hiking with another friend she met on her vacation.  Now that she is "fixed" she will be able to socialize the next time she takes a vacation
An AZ girl she's no so sure about water, but slowly adjusting to and learning to love it

We saw this beauty on one of our walks around the neighborhood.  Nice to see everyone out for a walk

 Out enjoying a beautiful day

Happy 4th! Shakti was not too happy about the "costume" Was difficult to get a decent photo

Here is to a fun exciting summer
