Dog Days of Summer

Shakti and I are enjoying our summer.   

 She continues to have a great time with her friends at doggy daycare

 One game she plays while there is keep away with this tire. 

 We've been doing a bit of hiking together and jumping into water when possible.

 Shakti was nervous about going all the way into the water, but had no issue with sticking her head under the water. 

Adventures continue

The adventures of Ms. Shakti.  We have been having a lot of fun romping around the woods together.  Shakti has seen and tried to make friends with squirrels, birds, deer and elk

 She is getting really good about not venturing too far away

 So many scents and things to explore

 It's hard to tell, but she is actually looking at a deer across the street.  She wanted badly to cross the street and go say hello.

And time to relax.  It's exhausting being Shakti

Happy May Day!

April ended up being a beautiful month and Shakti and I made sure to take advantage of this fact.  We are enjoying exploring the local hiking trails 

 

 Shakti has times of being very nice on the leash, not pulling, being careful not to pull when the footing is unsteady and then other times her eye catches something or she gets a scent and yanks, pulls, jumps, barks and is difficult to keep control of

 But its all worth it to be able to spend time outside, soaking in the sun, enjoying our time together, walking along exploring

Puppy Fun

The weather has been beautiful and being a puppy means getting to take full advantage of this.  While I work, Shakti is busy at her job as camp counselor at doggy day care.  I hear that she loves and plays well with all her K-9 and human friends

She does not give up on a game of Tug of War. 

Will do tricks for treats



Sometimes even Shakti needs to relax. 

 Puppy Easter.  Apparently the Easter Bunny hid shoes this year

Shakti was very excited we found some water.

Happy Puppy Day!!! A few of the highlights from Shakti's 1st 14months

 

 

 She loves jumping into the water, but hates the rain.  Is this normal? Throw some soap on her and let her run in the rain isn't it just natures shower?

 Just a couple days ago she's cooling off in the pool  Today we have 6inches of snow on the ground

 It's hard work being a puppy

 All day play with friends

 And constantly keeping up this level of cuteness

 and sneaking onto furniture

 trying to get outside with your friend to play

 exploring the woods

 having playdates with your friends

 trying to convince someone to play tug of war with you

 being forced to take a Holiday photo

Love you Miss Shakti.  Sure hope you are enjoying your puppy lifestyle
